What Swimpoints Is

Swimpoints is a free tool for live swim meet scoring, lineup optimization, and meet analytics. It is built for high school and college swim coaches, athletes, and spectators.

What We Collect

When you sign in with Google, we receive:

• Your name and email address — used to identify your account and for admin approval notifications.
• Profile photo URL — displayed in the navigation bar when signed in.

We do not request access to your Google Drive, Calendar, Contacts, or any other Google services.

How We Use Your Data

• To authenticate you and manage your coach/admin account.
• To associate your lineup configurations and meet preferences with your account.
• To allow administrators to approve or manage user access.

We do not sell, share, or distribute your personal information to third parties.

Where Your Data Is Stored

Account data is stored in Azure Cosmos DB (Microsoft Azure, US regions). Authentication is handled by Clerk, a third-party authentication provider. Both services use encryption at rest and in transit.

Cookies & Local Storage

Swimpoints uses a session cookie (__session) for authentication and localStorage for theme preferences and meet selections. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.

Data Retention & Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting the site administrator. Upon deletion, your profile data is removed from our database. Meet data you contributed (scores, lineups) may be retained for historical records.
